O Holy Slime Giclée Print (Framed )
About
O Holy Slime is a nativity scene, where two slugs sit together like virgin mother and child. Materials include acrylic, oil paint and oil stick on canvas.
The piece comes from a period in 2022-3 where I began to explore the relationship between slugs as a divine symbol - what it would mean to elevate such a maligned and hated creature to the status of a deity
This formed the basis of my solo exhibition Slime Mother - an exhibition exploring what it means to be marginalised, to exist in spaces where you feel unwelcome. In the show, the slug forms the centre of a new cosmos where we celebrate rest, revere our bodies, and hold each other in wet, sluggy solidarity.

About the printing process:
Giclée printing is often used for fine art reproductions due to its high quality precision and detail. Digital scans of the artworks are sprayed onto archival quality paper with high pigment ink, capturing the essence of the original artwork with vibrant colors and incredible detail.
O Holy Slime looks great in giclée as it captures every brushstroke, and its thick slimy texture.
